Sometimes, I see something that begs to be painted. I saw a collection of handmade dolls in a shop. Most are holiday themed. But there was this little chimp who reminded me of the butler in The Umbrella Academy series I enjoyed watching. He caught my eye and got me thinking. Is he whimsical? Is he representative of a dark past, like the character in the tv series? Is he just a circus performer like the artist who made him probably intended?
I'll leave it for you to decide. But for me, it depends on my mood and the day. That's the human condition, isn't it? Always in flux, always unpredictable, always shrouded in mystery. So go deep or just smile, but I hope you enjoy this piece!
